Deaths by Borough

Since 2012 there have been over 90000 pedestrian and cyclists injuries/deaths resulting from a collision with a motor vehicle. Brooklyn remains the most dangerous borough in NYC for pedestrians and cylists, followed by Manhattan and Queens. This may be due, at least in part, to the higher population in Brooklyn (~2.5 million) compared to Manhattan for example (~1.6 million). However, this is likely not the only explanation since Queens with almost the same population (2.3 million) has about 2/3 the number of injuries/deaths.
